Radio-frequency identification (RFID)
(RFID) is a technology that uses communication via low-frequency electromagnetic waves to exchange data between a terminal and an object for the purpose of identification and tracking. Some tags can be read from several meters away and beyond the line of sight of the reader. Radio-frequency identification involves readers, and tags (also known as labels/ Inlays).
UT is specialized in active & passive RFID tags. active tags have in built battery & passive RFID tags are battery-less and requires an external source to provoke signal transmission. These RFID tags consist of an integrated circuit to store/ process information, modulate RF signal, carry other specialized functions; and an antenna for receiving/ transmitting the signal. Currently UT is supplying tags for various sectors from Supply chain Management to Jewelry management to Library Management. We hold the expertise to provide customized tags in various form factor and material.
